Brand Story

Logo with Annie's portrait and incorporated Tibetan Buddhist blessing elements of Dharma Wheel and Auspicious Knot
I am Ryan, the founder of this brand. Inspired by love, this brand and its logo take their origins from the most precious family member in my life – Annie, a black female Labrador. She was not only my beloved pet who accompanied me for 12 years, but also the very reason I encountered the beautiful blessings embodied in Tibetan Tsa-tsa, and the driving force behind this brand.
My encounter with Annie was a destined fate in 2012. Back then, Annie, a frail and sickly puppy, was being cared for at a pet rescue shelter. According to the shelter staff, they had found her on the verge of death in a cardboard box beside a trash bin. Though they took her in and tended to her without delay, Annie remained weak and plagued by illnesses, leaving her unadopted for a long time. My mother had come to the shelter at a friend’s invitation, intending to adopt a cat. As she looked around, Annie suddenly started barking softly at her from the corner – her gentle yet persistent cries tugged at my mother’s heart like an invisible thread. The staff were equally astonished, saying Annie usually curled up quietly in the corner and this was the first time she had approached someone so excitedly and actively.

Mom first met Annie
My mother had never raised a pet before. Overwhelmed with joy by Annie’s unexpected affection, she squatted down to interact gently with her, and Annie nuzzled her palm affectionately, acting like a spoiled child. This mutual bond led my mother to make the decision to adopt her on the spot. Even when the staff reminded her repeatedly that Annie was extremely weak and would require immense time and effort for intensive treatment and care in the days ahead, my mother never wavered. She always said that their meeting at that moment was the will of fate in the unseen, a destined connection between them.
None of my family had ever raised a pet, so we did everything we could to take good care of Annie. We pored over pet care materials, consulted repeatedly with friends who had dogs, and bought a whole host of pet supplies, welcoming her home with all our joy. But this happiness was short-lived. Due to her poor congenital health, Annie suddenly fell critically ill and was on the brink of death just a few days after arriving home. Rushed to a pet hospital, she was diagnosed with pulmonary edema complicated with hydrothorax. The doctor frankly told us that her condition was extremely critical, with little chance of survival. My mother’s eyes welled up with tears at the news; she held the doctor’s hand and begged repeatedly to do everything possible to save Annie. For the next day, the hospital tried all conventional treatment methods, but Annie’s condition showed no sign of improvement and even worsened, leaving her more listless by the hour. The doctor had to admit powerlessness and told us to prepare for the worst.

Annie’s first severe illness
As a devout Buddhist, I stared at the dying Annie, and a voice deep inside me kept telling me that her time was not up, that there must still be a glimmer of hope. On the second day of Annie’s illness, I hurried to a temple at once to pray for her earnestly, beseeching the Buddha and Bodhisattvas for their blessings. After returning from the temple, I felt as if I had received a divine revelation. I made the decision with my mother on the spot to transfer Annie to a more reputable pet hospital with superior medical expertise. After reviewing Annie’s diagnosis report, the hospital director also stated plainly that her condition was life-threatening. He did not dare to slack off for a moment and immediately administered the best medication for her treatment, only whispering to us that whether she could make it through the night would depend entirely on her fate. That night, my mother and I stayed by the ward in the pet hospital, never leaving her side. I prayed and chanted in my heart over and over again, hoping that this sincere longing would grant Annie a second chance at life. Hard work pays off. After a night of desperate emergency treatment, Annie’s condition took a slight turn for the better. Under the meticulous care of the medical staff, she slowly pulled through the critical period and began to recover. We have always believed that it was the grace of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, their unseen blessing, that allowed Annie to pass through the gate of life and death.
After Annie recovered and returned home, I went back to the temple where I had prayed for her, specifically to talk with the master about this experience. After hearing my story, the master suggested that I get a Tsa-tsa talisman for Annie, saying that a Tsa-tsa could infuse her with positive energy and bless her with peace and good health. This was my first encounter with a Tibetan Tsa-tsa. I kept his words in mind and immediately asked a friend of mine in Sichuan – who travels to Lhasa to pray regularly – to get a Green Tara Tsa-tsa for Annie. I have long known that Green Tara symbolizes healing and protection, possessing immense compassionate power, and I hoped this power would guard Annie always. Later, when I received the Green Tara Tsa-tsa, I placed it with Annie’s little belongings, letting this blessing accompany her every single moment.

The Green Tara Tsa-tsa for praying for Annie’s blessings
After that serious illness, Annie grew up little by little, but her congenital physical defects meant that illness dogged her every step of the way. Gynecological problems, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, and respiratory ailments struck her one after another. Several times, her condition became so critical that she had to be admitted to the intensive care unit. Even the pet hospital doctors frankly admitted that given Annie’s physical condition, she would not last long – they predicted she might only live a few short years, and could leave us at any time.

But my mother and I firmly believed that Annie would live much longer! All these years, my family has cared for her with all our hearts and meticulous attention, and the Green Tara Tsa-tsa has stood quietly by her side all the while. Under the dual protection of our love and this sacred blessing, Annie defied the doctors’ predictions and overcame the trials of illness time and again, turning the “few short years” into 12 full years of warm companionship.

Annie basking in the sun comfortably
In December 2024, shortly after celebrating her 12th birthday, Annie left us peacefully. Carrying all our love and blessings, she departed for a world free from sickness, pain and separation. We held a simple yet solemn blessing and farewell ceremony for her in a small grove beside a temple. The master at the temple told us that the compassionate Green Tara had been guarding Annie all these years, and the divine power of the Tibetan Tsa-tsa had been a constant source of protection by her side. It was this sacred blessing, combined with our unwavering love, that pulled Annie back from the brink of death time and again, allowing her to surpass her expected lifespan and accompany us for 12 precious years.
Especially after my father passed away from illness in 2023, during our darkest and most difficult days, Annie was like a little angel sent from heaven, warming my mother and me with her gentle company. The master said that Green Tara had turned our deep love for Annie into protective strength, granting her a longer life to stay with us and comfort us in our grief. Now that her mission of companionship and comfort is fulfilled, Bodhisattva Green Tara will guide her to complete reincarnation, and she will surely attain peace and happiness in her next life.
Even though I know Annie has been blessed by Buddha’s power and journeyed to a pure and joyful realm, my longing for her has never faded. It was this 12-year unbroken bond, together with the life miracles the Tibetan Tsa-tsa brought to Annie time and again, that made me determined to found this brand. I want to keep Annie’s memory alive in my world forever, and pass on this sacred blessing from the snow-covered plateau. May the protective power embodied in every Tsa-tsa bring health, safety and comfort to more beloved pets.
May the divine beings within the Tsa-tsa guard all furry companions invisibly. When they face trials of illness, suffering and the threshold of life and death, may the divine hold up a steady umbrella of protection for them. May this blessing also guide every pet owner to make the kindest choices when their beloved pets are in trouble, so these lovely little ones may suffer less from pain and enjoy more precious time with their families.
May everyone who hears Annie’s story feel the power of this love and faith. May the sacred blessings of the Tsa-tsa protect you and your beloved pet, granting you peace, lasting companionship and joy, year after year.

Good night, Annie
